SINGAPORE stocks opened 0.07 per cent lower on Monday, with
the Straits Times Index (STI) slipping 2.14 points to 3,041.94.
This comes amid gains in opening trade in Tokyo, said to be
buoyed by investor sentiment following a solid US jobs report and a move by US
President Donald Trump to roll back financial regulations.
About 110.3 million shares worth S$74.1 million in total
changed hands as at 9.00am in Singapore.
The most actively traded counter was Ezra, which fell by
nearly 40 per cent to S$0.029 with 47.7 million shares changing hands. Other
actives included Oceanus and SingHaiyi.
Gainers outnumbered losers 79 to 41.
